Konstantinovy Lázně

Konstantinovy Lázně is situated north-west of Pilsen 510 m above sea level. It is one of the least polluted places in the Czech Republic. The local mineral springs have the highest content of CO₂ in the country. The tranquil, family-orientated atmosphere, numerous idyllic, comfortable spa houses, wonderful little pavilions housing the springs shaded by tall trees and statues dotted around the park all enhance the peaceful, restorative nature of the place. The local restaurants and cafes serve the local herb liqueur Konstantin, enjoyed by the famous Czech painter Max Švabinský during his stay in the town.

The procedures carried out in Konstantinovy Lázně use the CO₂ rich mineral water, which also contains traces of iron, bicarbonate, sodium and magnesium. It has a pleasant taste and as lightly sulphurous odor.

The spa focuses on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from cardiovascular disease. Other ailments treated here are musculoskeletal problems, diabetes and respiratory complaints.

Free time activities

At the spa there is a football pitch, tennis and volleyball courts and mini golf. There is also a mountain bike hire centre, table tennis, petanque, and curling in winter. Nordic Walking can also be practiced in the surrounding area. The countryside around Konstantinovy Lázně is a superb place to go mushroom picking.
